Meal Program

Beginning in the 2014-15 school year all students enrolled in Chicago Public Schools are provided free meals. Regardless of school location or a student’s previous paid, reduced, or free status, all students are now eligible to receive breakfast, lunch and after-school snacks at no charge, as a result of the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. Food service at IAMS is provided by Aramark

Breakfast meals are inclusive of an entrée option, a fruit option, and milk. All lunch meals are inclusive of an entrée option (grain and protein), a fruit option, a vegetable option, and milk. Elementary and high school breakfast and lunch menus are designed to serve the demands, preferences, and healthier lifestyles of all students. You can find the menus and other important information online at Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the school's dining manager directly. You may also contact CPS Nutrition Support Services via email at

Students who bring lunch from home can take a fresh vegetable, fruit and milk everyday for free in a convenient grab bag. Milk alone is sold individually for 35 cents.
